Walt Thirion, Managing Director

Walt was the co-founder, President, and CEO for two successful high-tech companies — Jato Technologies(1996-1999) and Thomas-Conrad Corporation (1985-1995). Jato Technologies merged with Level One Communications in November 1998, then merged with Intel Corporation in August 1999. Thomas-Conrad Corporation merged with Compaq Computer in 1995. In 1991, Walt was named Entreprenur of the Year for Austin.

Education: B.S. Physics, Kent State University. Doctoral studies in Nuclear Physics, University of Texas.

Molly Pieroni, Managing Director

Molly was a member of the founding team of The Boston Consulting Group in Dallas from 1994-1999. She served clients in a variety of industries including telecommunications, financial services and consumer goods with a focus on strategy, sales and marketing. From 1990-1992, Molly was with Dean Witter's Acquisition and Private Finance Group in New York focused on privately-placed leveraged buy-outs and recaps.

Education: MBA, Harvard Graduate School of Business, First Year Honors. BBA Finance, College of William and Mary.

Dan Ray, Venture Partner

Dan joined Intel Corp. in 1982 as a senior design engineer for telecommunications mixed- signal integrated circuits (ICs) and left in 1985 to co-found Level One Communications. He was the key architect of most of Level One's revenue producing products. Following Intel's acquisition of Level One, Dan became an Intel Fellow. Dan holds eight patents in the areas of communications systems architecture and high speed mixed signal CMOS circuit design. He has also authored several technical papers and been actively involved in the creation of several IEEE communications standards, including gigabit ethernet.

Education: B.S. Electrical Engineering, University of Arizona. M.S. Electrical Engineering, University of California at Berkeley.

Rocqell Jordan, Executive Assistant

Rocqell joined JatoTech Ventures in 2000.  Prior to her appointment as Executive Assistant, she held the position of Accounting Specialist.  Rocqell is currently completing her B.A. in Organizational Communication at St. Edward's University.
